Sue’s career has taken her across country hospitals, community nursing, aged care and disability support, giving her a wealth of hands-on experience and a strong understanding of what quality care looks like in practice. Her experience also extends to managing community care services, staff development and training, as well as NDIS community supports and Supported Independent Living.

for her practical approach, warmth and ability to bring people together, Sue works closely with teams across KCG to strengthen service delivery and support our people as the organisation continues to grow. With decades of experience behind her, Sue remains committed to learning, collaboration and continually finding better ways to support both participants and the people who work alongside them.

I am from France where I have been a Registered Nurse for 7 years. I decided to go travel for a little while and spent time in different countries before settling in Australia for the past 5 years, 3 in the Kimberley. I adore travelling and exploring new cultures.

I have been working with KCG for the past 3 years going from support work to a team leader position where I assist our participants and staff.

My favourite supports include: assisting with emergency situation, staff training and forward planning.

Rossi Bin Omar

Community Team Leader & Cultural & Community Support Advisor

I'm a Malay Bardi from Broome, my dad is from Broome and my mum is from Singapore. I have 8 younger siblings we all grew up and went to school here and in Gudumul, married with 3 boys, studied being a Primary teacher and worked in the beauty industry for 10 years.

A big hobby of mine is being a mum, of course. And I also have my own makeup artistry business 'Beautiful You by Rossi.' (We can hyperlink this, too - it's an Instagram).

I am passionate about my people, especially the youth and the elderly. Allowing the elderly to know about the supports and services available that they might not know about e.g. obtaining ID, regular health check-ups. I believe in order to help our people we need to be the ones taking the lead in making these changes for a positive outcome. I am also passionate about education and mental health and letting our kids take every opportunity thrown at them.

Favourite type of support: community support and staff support, whether it's taking someone outside for an outing or staff training or debriefing with me.

Community Team Leader

I’m a Community Team Leader with Kimberley Care Group and have worked with KCG for the past three years. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a range of remote communities throughout the Kimberley including Balgo, Halls Creek, and One Arm Point.

I’m passionate about the disability sector, particularly psychosocial disability and mental health support. I enjoy supporting both participants and staff, and take pride in helping lead and manage a strong, supportive team environment within KCG.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is working alongside participants to achieve not only their NDIS goals, but also the personal goals and small milestones in life that genuinely make a difference to their wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
